Global Peace Development (GPD) is a division of Global Peace Foundation that advances community driven development projects is different settlements to empower families and build resilient communities. GPD works include workshops, training and enterprise development to promote education, health, economic development and security in communities in Kenya.

Green House for Schools Initiative
The “Green House for Schools Initiative” by GPF in partnership with UN Habitat and the Grand Korea Leisure (GKL) Company has supported 2 primary schools in Nairobi and Kiambu Counties with free solar lights, construction of greenhouses as well as training and mentorship for school going children on soccer and arts.
So far, the initiative has diversified with schools practicing different types of farming among them tomato and vegetable garden in gas an alternative income generating activity to supplement school operational costs. The progress has seen 100 pupils trained on greenhouse tomato gardening as well as 2000 others benefiting through the school feeding program that provides them a balanced diet essential for brain development.
All Lights Village (ALV) Project
ALV combines solar technology with clean water solutions, education, income generation and public-private partnerships to improve the overall quality of vulnerable families. In Molo, GPF supported 100 vulnerable families with school going children with solar lights to support their education.
In Ukwala, Siaya County through the ALV project, GPF renovated a rehabilitation site and installed street lights to provide security and enhance late night business in the area.
